About the Artist

Elisheva Zabar is a distinguished Israeli sculptor and an active member of The Israel Painters & Sculptors Association. She resides in the scenic Galilee region, where she draws much of her creative inspiration.
Holding a degree in Economics and Management from the Technion in Haifa, Elisheva previously pursued a career as a financial manager within the high-tech industry. However, her artistic journey took shape in 2000 when she relocated to the United States with her husband. During their two-year stay, she studied sculpture under the guidance of artist Mike Pavlovsky in Texas.

It was during this transformative period that Elisheva discovered her deep passion for working with clay-a medium that continues to bring her immense joy. Since then, sculpting has become an integral part of her life, fueling her continuous artistic exploration.

Elisheva’s work is characterized by figurative sculptures that reflect a realistic style. As an artist deeply connected to human expression, she captures the essence of children, women, and men in dynamic, lifelike poses. Her creations, primarily cast in bronze and stone, radiate warmth, emotion, and a profound sense of humanity-each piece seemingly alive, engaging, and full of character.

"My greatest inspiration comes from the human experiences that surround me" she shares. "Every sculpture is a journey that spans several months, and by the time it’s complete, it feels as though I’ve given birth to something truly personal."

For over a decade, Elisheva has showcased her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Many of her sculptures are part of esteemed private collections both in Israel and internationally, reflecting her broad artistic appeal and timeless vision.
